Year 6: weekly round up!

A lovely final week of our topic ‘St.Lucia’. We experimented with musical instruments to compose pieces of music which represented various activities you can do on the island. We also worked hard to finish our exposition texts on tourism, as well as writing an email asking lots of questions to help with planning a holiday there.
Year 6 have been working so hard to put the finishing touches on their leaver’s performance. We are so excited to share this with you next week!
Next week:
Tuesday – we are planning to send all books home on Tuesday so please send a sturdy bag in to hold books and extra pieces of work. Please send these in on Monday.
Leaver’s assembly: Doors open at 1:15 to start at 1:30pm. You are all welcome to stay for tea, coffee, and biscuits until 2:45. At 3:30, a bus will collect from school for bowling where year 6 will also have their dinner. The coach will return to school at approximately 6:30 where pupils can be collected from the top car park.
Thursday – last day! Pupils can bring in a school polo shirt or any other shirt that they wish to be signed by others.
Please ensure that reading books from school are returned no later than Monday the 15th so we can update our records. There are still a number of pupils with school reading books at home.
Have a lovely weekend!
